AfriTech Hub, a leading Technology and Skills development Hub in Africa based in Tamale paid a working visit to the Northern Regional office of the National Youth Authority on June 21, 2022.
The AfriTech Hub team was lead by the Executive Director and renowned Youth Advocate, Dr. Arnold Mashud Abukari. The Northern Regional Director of the National Youth Authority, Mr. Mumuni Sulemana and his team welcomed the team from AfriTech Hub and applauded the AfriTech Hub team for the initiative towards collaborating with the National Youth Authority to enhance skills development and empower the youth for socio-economic development of Ghana. “There is the need to work with data hence the need for our current research findings” Mr. Mumuni Sulemana added.
Dr. Arnold Mashud Abukari, commenting on the research findings by the National Youth Authority, lamented that it was a major concern for key stakeholders regarding the 60% of the Youth in Northern Region being unskilled. He added that AfriTech Hub will work hard in collaboration with the National Youth Authority to make the Youth of Northern Region and beyond productive. He added that, “Technology and TVET Driven, Women and Youth as Drivers”.
